The Lowdown
Baystate Marathon is organized by the Greater Lowell Road Runners in Lowell, Massachusetts. The 2026 marathon is on October 18 at 8:00am EDT, with an event end time of 2:00pm. The primary marathon is sold out and RunSignup states that its waiting list has closed. The separately registered half marathon and relay still have places; those offers should not be mistaken for marathon availability. The organizer promotes a flat, fast course focused on Boston qualification. Marathon entrants must be at least 16. RunSignup separately offers wheeled participation for handcycles, push-rim wheelchairs and Team Hoyt-style duos, with a 7:55am start and its own remaining capacity. The published marathon fee is $140, but it is an unavailable offer. RunSignup states that refunds are not allowed.
