Demi-Marathon de Lachine
The Lowdown
The Demi-Marathon de Lachine is an annual half marathon and multi-distance race day held along the Lachine Canal National Historic Site in the Lachine borough of Montréal, Québec. Organized by the Lachine-Dorval Running Club since 2012, the event offers a certified 21.1 km half marathon alongside 10 km (with a Nordic walking option), 5 km, 2 km, and 1 km races on a flat loop course through Noël-Spinelli, Saint-Louis, Fort-Rolland, Stoney Point, and Summerlea parks, with adjoining start and finish lines near Parc René-Lévesque. The 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon distances carry Athletics Canada course certification. Some directories and partner listings identify the event as the Demi-Marathon Bonneville de Lachine after a title sponsor, though the official race branding remains sponsor-neutral. Proceeds support the Société Alzheimer de Montréal. The 2026 edition takes place Sunday, October 18, with a T-shirt and finisher medal included for all distances.
