The Lowdown
The Gobbler Grind Marathon is held on the Sunday before Thanksgiving in Overland Park, Kansas, and the 2026 race is the 33rd edition. The marathon starts at Corporate Woods Office Park with a 5K street loop, then moves onto the Indian Creek Trail for several out-and-back sections. The course is USATF certified and qualifies for Boston and for the 50 States Marathon Club. A half marathon, 10K and 5K run the same morning. Garmin SmartPace teams cover finish times from 3:30 to 6:30, and the time limit is 6.5 hours.
