Maastricht Marathon

The Maastricht Marathon takes runners through the historic streets and surrounding countryside of Maastricht, the Netherlands' southernmost city, on a flat, scenic course that finishes amid the crowds and street parties of the city center. Sponsored locally as the dsm-firmenich Maastricht Marathon (dsm-firmenich, formed from the 2023 DSM-Firmenich merger, is headquartered in Maastricht), the race is the run day of the dsm-firmenich Long Course Weekend Netherlands, a three-day multisport festival that also includes an open-water swim and a cycling event; finishers who complete all three at the longest distance earn a fourth medal. Alongside the marathon, the event offers a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and a Kids Run, with a six-hour marathon cutoff that keeps the course friendly to Ironman-training paces. The next edition is scheduled for 23 May 2027, the run day of the 2027 Long Course Weekend Netherlands.
