Maratón de Rosario

The Maratón de Rosario is Argentina's national marathon championship race, held each June on the banks of the Paraná River in the birthplace of the Argentine flag. Known locally as the 42K Rosario, the flat Pampas course starts and finishes at the iconic Monumento a la Bandera — a colossal national flag memorial that towers over the city's waterfront — and winds through the tree-lined Boulevard Oroño and the expansive Parque Independencia before tracing sections of the scenic Costanera riverside promenade. Held over Flag Day weekend, the race draws competitive Argentine runners alongside recreational participants in what has become one of the country's most prestigious road races.
