The Lowdown
The Plaza 10K is a flat, fast 10K in Kansas City, Missouri, that follows the banks of Brush Creek and runs through the heart of the Country Club Plaza. The 2026 edition, the 16th, ran on Sunday, September 13, with the 10K starting at 7:30 AM and a 2 Mile Family Fun Run & Walk at 7:50 AM. It raises money for Saint Luke's Homecare & Hospice. Finishers receive a participant shirt and a finisher's medal, and the post-race party at Central Street and Ward Parkway has live music and food from Kansas City restaurants. A Virtual 10K option is also offered. The race usually falls on the second Sunday of September, so the 2027 edition is expected around September 12, with registration and pricing not yet announced.
