The Woodlands Marathon
The Lowdown
The Woodlands Marathon returns to The Woodlands, Texas — just north of Houston — for its 16th annual running on February 27, 2027. Runners start and finish at Town Green Park, tackling a flat, fast loop through Town Center before finishing along the scenic Woodlands Waterway. Ranked among the fastest courses in the country, it is a strong Boston qualifier, sending roughly 100 runners to Boston each year. Beyond the marathon, the event offers a half marathon, 10K, 5K, 2K run/walk, marathon and half marathon relays, and virtual options, with total participation capped at 8,000 across all distances. Marathon and half marathon start at 6:55 AM, and the course closes at 1:30 PM (a 14:30-minute-per-mile pace requirement). No title sponsor is currently attached to the race.
