The Lowdown

The Vestingloop Bergen op Zoom 10K is a road race through the old fortified town in North Brabant, starting and finishing on the Grote Markt. The 10 km has its own course past sights such as the Markiezenhof and the Lieve Vrouwenpoort. The seventh edition is on Sunday 1 November 2026, with the 10 km starting at 14:30 after a 5 km at 13:30 and a 1 km family run at 12:20. A 5 km walk also runs that day. The event raises money for the Hersenstichting (Dutch Brain Foundation). Entry includes time registration, free water and a medal, and the course has two water points. It is one of five Vestingloop events in the region, and anyone who runs all five in one year gets a sixth medal in Bergen op Zoom. It has been run as the Remmerswaal Vestingloop.

Entry Methods: Online registration through inschrijven.nl until 30 October 2026
Eligibility: Minimum age for the 10 km is 14 years
Participants aged 15 or younger need consent from a parent or guardian
Cancellation & Refund Policy: Refunds are not possible after registering
Tickets can be sold or transferred through the personal dashboard
Entries can be moved to another event or to next year's edition
