The Lowdown
The 15K Open Sports Ciudad is a 15 km road race along the Mar del Plata coast, with 10K and 5K races on the same day. Start, finish and awards are in front of the Run & Bike store at Viamonte and La Costa. The route passes Playa Varese, Cabo Corrientes, Playa Chica, Parque San Martín, Playa Grande, the Escollera Norte and the Torreón del Monje. It is held on a Sunday in late June, and more than 3,000 runners took part in 2025. The entry includes a technical shirt, bib with timing chip, Red Cross medical cover, water and isotonic drink, and a finisher medal.
