Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Run and Half Marathon

The Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Run and Half Marathon starts at Morro Rock in Morro Bay, California, on July 17, 2027. The event marks the 57th Rock to Pier Run and the 13th Rock’n Around the Pier Half Marathon. The half marathon follows the beach north toward Cayucos Pier and returns south, detouring through Cloisters Park around mile 10.5 before finishing at Morro Rock. Both in-person events start at 8 a.m.; the half marathon description says the course closes at noon. Runners should expect wet shoes, and dogs are prohibited because the route crosses Snowy Plover nesting habitat. Packet pickup is scheduled for July 16, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Morro Bay Community Center. Breakfast and awards follow the race at Morro Rock.
