The Lowdown
The Early Bird 10 Mile Run is a 10-mile (16.1 km) race that opens the running season in west Omaha, Nebraska. It starts at Walnut Grove Park at 7:30 a.m., circles Lake Zorinsky and returns to the park for a post-race breakfast treat. Every finisher receives a bottle-opener medal, and awards go to overall, masters and age-group winners. A separate division for athletes with disabilities and a virtual 10-mile option are offered, and free parking lots are assigned by email before race day.
