The Lowdown

The Eau Claire Marathon starts and finishes in downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin, crossing eight bridges over the Eau Claire and Chippewa Rivers. The USATF-certified course is a Boston Marathon qualifier and runs the 'Blugold Mile' through the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus in the second half before finishing near the Barstow Block Party street festival. Aid stations with water and Gatorade appear roughly every two miles, with energy gels and chews at miles 6 and 18.5. Race weekend also includes a half marathon, four-person relay, 10K, 5K and kids' events, and course support (water, medical, police) is guaranteed for 6.5 hours after the start.

Four-person teams register together for the Marathon Relay

Signed liability waiver completed during online registration
Cancellation & Refund Policy: No standard refunds or deferrals; optional third-party race protection insurance can be purchased at registration for a potential refund claim
Distance downgrade ($10), upgrade ($10 plus price difference), or transfer to another runner ($15) allowed until April 1
Organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule for force majeure conditions with no obligation to refund entry fees
