Get the Hull out of Here is a multi-distance trail event organized by It's Grim Up North Running, run out of East Hull along the flat, well-maintained Hornsea Rail Trail on the TransPennine Trail network. The race offers six distances on the same course - 5K, 10K, 10 Mile, Half Marathon, 20 Mile, and the full Marathon, which covers two laps of the 10 Mile out-and-back plus a closing 10K - starting and finishing at Pelican Park Recreation Ground in East Hull, with staggered starts from 8:30am for the marathon through to 11:00am for the 5K. The course is entirely flat, licensed by the Trail Running Association under UK Athletics rules, with feed and drink stations roughly every three miles, volunteer marshals along the route, and clear signage throughout. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and post-race treats. The event has built a loyal following in East Yorkshire's trail running scene, rated 4 out of 5 across dozens of runner reviews, and returns each spring after a 2026 edition that closed out registration across its distances. On-site car parking costs £5, with proceeds supporting the local Community Trust; dogs are not permitted within the grounds.
