The ASICS Gold Coast Marathon is Australia's premier road race and a World Athletics Label Road Race, held each July in Southport on Queensland's Gold Coast. The flat, fast and scenic out-and-back course runs alongside the city's renowned surf beaches and the calm waters of the Broadwater, starting and finishing at Broadwater Parklands. Famed as one of the flattest and fastest marathons in the world, it is a popular destination for runners chasing personal bests, and the wider running festival weekend also features a half marathon, 10km, 5km and junior events.
