The Lowdown
The Hallstättersee Rundlauf is a half marathon that circles Lake Hallstatt in the Salzkammergut, starting and finishing at the Marktplatz in Hallstatt. The 2027 edition is the 38th, run on Sunday, 25 April, and the event is presented as the Sparkassen Hallstättersee Rundlauf. The route passes through Obertraun, along the Obersee and Untersee, through Steeg and across the Gosaumühle bridge before returning to the Marktplatz. Aid stations stand at km 5.05, 9.90, 14.50 and 17.05. Participants get free parking in Hallstatt. Entry prices rise in steps, from €40 until 31 October 2026 to €60 on the final day.
