Houston Turkey Dash
The Lowdown
The Houston Turkey Dash is Houston's Thanksgiving Day race, held every Thanksgiving morning at Delmar Stadium in the Near Northside neighborhood. Organized by Houston Running Co., the event offers a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, 1-Mile, and a Kids & Family 1K, giving households a flat, spectator-friendly course to run together before the holiday meal. Proceeds benefit The HRC Foundation and its charity partners, including Ainsley's Angels, The Asher Houston Animal Sanctuary, Girls on the Run, and LifeGift Organ Donation. The Half Marathon starts first at 7:00 AM, followed by the 10K and 5K at 7:30 AM, with the 1-Mile at 9:00 AM and the Kids & Family 1K at 9:30 AM. Online registration is open through Houston Running Co.'s official site, with prices rising after September 30, 2026.
