The Lowdown

The Log Jammer Marathon is an annual road marathon held every November in Shreveport, Louisiana, organized by Sportspectrum, a local sports and fitness complex on Fern Avenue. The USATF-certified course starts and finishes in the Sportspectrum parking lot: the first 10 miles wind through the hilly South Highlands neighborhood before the remaining 16.2 miles flatten out for a fast finish. Alongside the marathon, the event includes a half marathon and 5K, both starting shortly after, plus wheelchair divisions for all three distances and a 2-person marathon relay (offered in coed, male, and female pairings). The 2026 edition takes place Sunday, November 22, with a 6.5-hour time limit for the marathon and a 3.5-hour limit for the half. All finishers receive a medal, and the event awards overall, masters, and age-group winners across each distance. Packet pickup runs Thursday through Saturday before race day at Sportspectrum, with limited race-morning pickup also available.
