The Maasrun is a late-September road race in Lanaken, in the Belgian province of Limburg, run since 2001. The half marathon is the main event, alongside a 10 km, a 5 km, a 2.5 km and a 1 km Kidsrun. The course follows the Maas and runs through green areas, starting at the Atla athletics track on Sportstraat and finishing on the Kerkplein. In 2026 the half marathon doubled as the Flemish and Limburg championship, and the distance is officially measured by the VAL. Runners have 150 minutes to finish the half marathon. The next edition is expected on the last Sunday of September 2027, with dates and prices to be announced.
