Ogden Marathon
The Lowdown
The Ogden Marathon is a point-to-point downhill course organized by the GOAL Foundation, running from Huntsville through scenic Ogden Canyon to a finish on Historic 25th Street in downtown Ogden, Utah. The gentle net elevation drop of roughly 1,077 feet has made it a fast, popular Boston Qualifier, and Runner's World has named it one of the top marathons in the world. Race weekend also includes a half marathon, an 8-mile race, a 5K, a marathon relay, and a kids' race, drawing an estimated 5,000 to 10,000 participants across all distances. The most recent edition took place on May 16, 2026; the GOAL Foundation had not yet confirmed a 2027 date at press time.
