Phoenix 10K & Half Marathon
The Lowdown
The Phoenix 10K & Half Marathon is Arizona's original road race, tracing its roots back to 1976 when Dr. Art Mollen founded it on the canal banks of central Phoenix; Jesse Owens even appeared at the very first press conference. Now entering its 51st year, the November 8, 2026 edition offers four distances — Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and the Mollen Mile for Kids (ages 3-12) — after the event's full marathon distance was retired following the 2025 race. All courses start and finish near Biltmore Fashion Park at 24th Street and Camelback Road, sending runners on a USATF-certified loop through some of central Phoenix's most scenic neighborhoods, with the Half Marathon starting at 6:30 AM, the 10K at 7:15 AM, the 5K at 8:30 AM, and the Mollen Mile at 9:00 AM. All courses close at 12:30 PM. Over its five decades the race has carried several presenting sponsors, from HonorHealth Foundation to its current backer, Life Time Events, while continuing to benefit the Mollen Foundation's community health mission. Every registration includes a finisher medal, an official tech tee, post-race food and drink, and live athlete tracking, drawing a loyal mix of competitive runners and families to one of the Valley's longest-running fitness traditions.
