Santa Rosa Marathon
The Lowdown
The Santa Rosa Marathon is a USATF-certified Boston Marathon qualifier through California's Sonoma County wine country. Starting and finishing at Old Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa, the mostly flat course follows the Santa Rosa Creek Trail and Prince Memorial Greenway before winding past rolling vineyards, including a signature stretch through the barrel room at DeLoach Vineyards. Runners have a 6-hour time limit, and finishers receive a medal, a full-zip finisher jacket, and a bottle of DeLoach wine at the post-race celebration. The 2026 edition takes place Sunday, August 23, alongside a companion Half Marathon, with a 10K and 5K held the day before.
