Space Coast Marathon
The Lowdown
The Space Coast Marathon & Half Marathon is the oldest marathon in Florida, returning to Cocoa Village for its 55th running on November 22, 2026. Runners start and finish at Cocoa Riverfront Park on a USATF-certified, mostly flat, partially shaded waterfront course along the Indian River, making it a popular Boston qualifier attempt. The marathon heads north on Indian River Drive to a turnaround before returning through Cocoa Village and along the river to the finish, while the half marathon runs south on Rockledge Drive to its own turnaround. Space-themed aid stations dot the route in a nod to the nearby Kennedy Space Center. The race also offers virtual marathon and virtual half marathon options, with results submission open November 22 through December 20, 2026. The course closes at 1:00 PM, giving marathoners a 7-hour cutoff and half marathoners 6 hours 45 minutes.
