The Lowdown
The Tallahassee Marathon is a USATF-certified, Boston Marathon-qualifying race organized by the Gulf Winds Track Club and held each February in Florida's capital city. Now run since 1975, the marathon, half marathon, and marathon relay share a rolling course that winds through Tallahassee's tree-lined neighborhoods and past university campuses, finishing to a celebratory crowd on Madison Street. The volunteer-run event is known for strong community support along the course, with residents turning out to cheer runners through the city's historic districts. Race weekend concludes with post-race festivities featuring local vendors and food near the finish line.
