Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata
The Lowdown
The Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata is East India's premier road race and the world's first World Athletics Gold Label event held over the 25K distance. Held every December on Kolkata's Red Road since 2014, the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata draws more than 17,000 runners across its 25K, Open 10K, Ananda Run, Senior Citizens' Run, Champions with Disability, and Virtual Run categories. The flat, fast route passes the Victoria Memorial and crosses the Hooghly River near Howrah Bridge, drawing elite international athletes alongside first-time runners. Organised by Procam International, the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata starts near dawn to beat the day's heat and humidity.
