Worcester Marathon

The Worcester Marathon is the largest running event held in the historic cathedral city of Worcester, Worcestershire, in England's West Midlands. Organized by Tempo Events, the race reaches its 15th edition in 2027, run alongside a half marathon and 10K on the same morning. All three races start and finish at Worcester Rugby Club on Offerton Lane, with runner parking at the neighboring Sixways Stadium. The marathon and half marathon start together at 9:30 AM and follow a two-lap loop through the rural lanes of the Worcestershire countryside; half marathon runners split off toward the finish just after the 11-mile mark, while marathon runners continue on to complete a second full lap. The 10K starts separately at 10:00 AM. The route climbs a modest total of around 290 meters (952 feet) across its rural stretches before returning to a flat finish at the rugby club. Entrants receive chip timing and a bespoke finisher's medal, and the marathon carries a strict cutoff of 2 hours 15 minutes to reach the 11-mile split. The 2027 edition continues the event's long-running charity partnership with St Richard's Hospice, an independent Worcestershire charity providing free end-of-life and bereavement care. The race has sold out in each of the past two years, so early entry is recommended. Minimum age is 18 for the marathon, 17 for the half marathon, and 15 for the 10K.
