Amgen Singelloop Breda is an annual road race through the historic center of Breda, in the Dutch province of North Brabant, run each year along the city's signature canal ring (de singels). First held in 1986, the event completed 38 consecutive autumn editions through October 2025, offering a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and shorter family and kids' distances. The Kasparov Halve Marathon has been the race's flagship distance since the beginning, hosting the Dutch national half marathon championships in 2010 and 2011, and again in 2023 and 2024.
In late 2025 the volunteer board that had organized the race for nearly four decades stepped down, citing the growing complexity and safety demands of managing tens of thousands of runners and spectators along an open city course. Stichting Sportevenementen Le Champion, the organization behind the Dam tot Damloop and the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, took over the event for its 39th edition and moved it from its traditional October date to Sunday, April 4, 2027, with the Kasparov half marathon starting at 10:30, followed later in the day by the Cosun 5K and the Amgen 10K. Amgen, the race's title sponsor since 2016, renewed its backing for another five years in 2026. The flat, spectator-lined course still finishes in the heart of Breda's city center, and the race is also widely known locally as the Bredase Singelloop.
Registration for the 39th edition opened August 31, 2026, and both the half marathon and the 10K sold out within days; only the 5K, family run, and kids' distances remained open as of mid-September 2026. A new Singel Wandeltocht walking event debuts the day before, on Saturday, April 3, 2027.
