The Lowdown

The Belfast Bay Run 10K is a closed-road race through Belfast's Titanic Quarter, organized by Future Sports Events. Runners start and finish in the Titanic Quarter marketplace and follow a flat, fast route along the docklands and waterfront roads that trace the shoreline of Belfast Lough, passing the site where the RMS Titanic was built and other shipyard landmarks. With no significant hills, the course suits both experienced runners chasing a personal best and first-time 10K finishers. The event includes chip timing, marshalled water stations, medical support, and a race village with refreshments at the start/finish area. Finishers receive a medal and a technical head buff, and professional event photography is available afterward. Race numbers are posted to entrants in advance of race day. Capacity is limited to roughly 1,500 runners, and the October date -- held annually on the first Sunday of October -- regularly sells out, so early entry is recommended.
