Lisburn Half Marathon

The Lisburn Half Marathon is one of Northern Ireland's largest road races, run through the streets of Lisburn in County Antrim and organized by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council through the Lagan Valley LeisurePlex. The event marked its 43rd running in 2026 and starts and finishes at the LeisurePlex on Lisburn Leisure Park, following a flat, single-lap course that includes a traffic-free stretch through the Eikon Exhibition Centre and the former Maze/Long Kesh site. A companion 10K Road Race and 3K Fun Run share the same evening and start/finish, and together the three events draw more than 5,000 participants, with wheelchair and hand-cycle athletes welcomed and results fully chip-timed. The race has carried sponsorship from MB Chicken in recent editions, though it is commonly listed simply as the Lisburn Half Marathon. The 2026 edition ran on Wednesday, June 17; based on the event's long-standing pattern of the third Wednesday in June, the next edition is projected for Wednesday, June 16, 2027, though organizers had not yet published the exact 2027 date, entry fees or full route details as of August 2026. Recent entry fees were roughly GBP 28 for the half marathon, GBP 22 for the 10K, and GBP 6 to 10 for the Fun Run.
