Exeter Half Marathon
The Lowdown
The Exeter Half Marathon is a flat, fast half marathon through the cathedral city of Exeter in Devon, England, organized by the Exeter City Community Trust -- the community charity partner of Exeter City Football Club. The race starts and finishes at Piazza Terracina on Haven Road, following a two-lap, largely traffic-free route along Exeter's historic Quayside, the Exeter Ship Canal, and the Riverside Valley Park, with reviewers consistently rating the certified, measured course as ideal for personal bests and beginners alike. A companion event, the Riverside 5 Miles, runs the day before over a shorter version of the same route. Entrants must be at least 17 years old on race day, and the course carries a generous 3-hour-30-minute time limit. The 2027 edition takes place on Sunday, February 7, with the Riverside 5 Miles held on Saturday, February 6. Entry costs GBP 38 for unaffiliated runners and GBP 36 for runners registered with a UK Athletics-affiliated club, with charity places also available through Exeter City Community Trust for a fundraising pledge of at least GBP 200. Around 600 runners typically take part.

Organized by Exeter City Community Trust, Exeter's health and wellbeing charity working in partnership with Exeter City Football Club.
Course rated 'flat & fast' by 95% of reviewers and an 'urban & nature mix' by 76%, with organizers noting it is ideal for beginners and personal bests.
A measured alternative route has been used in past years when flooding affected the standard two-lap Riverside Valley Park course.
Currently headline-sponsored by Exeter Live Better, an Exeter City Community Trust wellbeing initiative, though the event is commonly known and listed everywhere (Let's Do This, Half Marathon List, Racecheck) simply as the Exeter Half Marathon.
