The Lowdown

The Middlesbrough Half Marathon is a fast, flat, closed-road race through the heart of Middlesbrough, England, presented by Science in Sport. The course starts and finishes in Centre Square, outside the Town Hall and MIMA gallery, and loops through Albert Park, past Middlesbrough FC's Riverside Stadium, and around the town's historic docks before returning to Centre Square. Now in its fourth year, the race has established itself as one of the North East's standout road races, drawing a growing field of runners chasing personal bests on the largely flat route. A Junior Race also takes place on race day. The event supports the Great North Air Ambulance Service as its charity partner.
