Bellin Run
The Lowdown
The Bellin Run is a 10K and 5K run/walk held every second Saturday of June in Green Bay, Wisconsin, drawing runners and walkers of every ability since its debut in 1977 as the Bellin Heartwarming Run, created to mark the opening of a cardiac wing at Bellin Hospital. Both distances start and finish on Webster Avenue in front of the hospital (now branded Emplify Health by Bellin), loop east through the neighboring village of Allouez, and return along a mostly flat, U.S. Track and Field-certified course with one notable downhill stretch and a shaded, tree-lined final mile. A 5K option joined the longstanding 10K in 2023, and the race has grown into one of the largest 10K events in the nation, peaking at roughly 20,000 participants in 2013 and passing 345,000 cumulative finishers through its 2026 edition. Twenty runners have completed every Bellin Run since 1977 and are honored as 'Bellin Run Legends,' while elite fields have included Olympians dating back to Frank Shorter's appearance at the inaugural race. The event features water stations, medical support, live music and entertainment along the route, a post-race celebration in Astor Park, awards across 19 age divisions plus a wheelchair category, and a separate Children's Run for younger participants.
