The Lowdown

The Bietigheimer Silvesterlauf is a New Year's Eve road race in Bietigheim-Bissingen, organized by the LG Neckar-Enz. The 44th edition starts at 14:00 on 31 December 2026 at the Sporthalle am Viadukt. The 10.35 km course has two laps, 4.45 km and 5.90 km, through the historic old town and the Enz meadows, mostly on asphalt. The field is capped at 4,000 runners and the 2025 edition sold out before Christmas for the first time. Online entry is the only way in, with start blocks assigned from your current 10 km time. The entry fee rises in blocks of 1,000 starts, from 22 EUR for the first thousand to 34 EUR from start 3,001. Youth and women's relay teams run the same course in legs of 4.45 km, 3.25 km and 2.65 km.
