The Bologna Marathon (branded the Termal Bologna Marathon under its current title sponsor) is a FIDAL Bronze Category A and World Athletics-certified marathon through the historic center of Bologna, Italy, running past the city's UNESCO-listed porticoes and iconic squares. Now in its 6th edition, the race is capped at 3,600 marathon finishers and anchors a three-day event weekend centered on Piazza Maggiore that also includes a 30K (dei Portici), a 21K half marathon ("Run Tune Up"), a 5K city run, and a kids' race, drawing over 10,000 total participants from 50+ countries across all distances. The 2026 edition sold out across all distances. Registration for the 2027 edition is open on a rising four-tier price schedule.
