Capital City Classic 10K
The Lowdown
The Capital City Classic 10K is Arkansas' oldest and largest 10K race, run through downtown Little Rock since 1980. Organized by the Little Rock Roadrunners and directed by Bill Torrey for more than three decades, the race starts at Markham and Broadway and finishes near the State Capitol at Capitol and Louisiana, crossing the Broadway Bridge over the Arkansas River. The course has drawn past champions including Bill Rodgers and Anne Audain. A free, untimed Kids' 1 Mile fun run kicks off the morning, and the 10K offers a prize purse of at least $7,000 split among the top five male and female finishers, plus complimentary entries and travel assistance for qualifying elite athletes. More than 1,400 runners took part in the 2026 edition.
