The Lowdown
Carrera 10KFem is Spain's only RFEA-certified women-only 10K road race, organized by Nosotras Deportistas and held each spring in Valencia to mark the Dia de la Mujer (International Women's Day). Men are not permitted to compete. The course is a flat, fully asphalt, entirely urban circuit that starts and finishes at the Paseo de la Alameda, between the Puente del Real and the Puente de la Exposicion, running through Valencia's main streets and avenues; entrants must be at least 16 years old.
The 12th edition, held Sunday, March 29, 2026 on a redesigned course, set a new participation record: nearly 3,500 women from 32 Spanish provinces and 19 countries finished, with almost 30% racing their first-ever 10K. Cristina Juan won in 36:07. All 3,000 regular bibs sold out about two weeks before race day, prompting the organizers to release 150 additional entries. Entry for the 2026 edition was tiered from EUR 13 up to EUR 21 (EUR 25 at late/expo pickup), and included a bib, timing chip, race T-shirt, goodie bag, insurance, refreshments at km 5 and the finish, and a personalized finish-time certificate.
The organizers have not yet announced the date for the 13th edition; based on the event's annual cadence (a Sunday in March, most recently the last Sunday of the month), the next edition is projected for March 28, 2027, with registration expected to open at carrera10kfem.com closer to the date.
