The Lowdown
The Ennis Half Marathon is an annual road race through Ennis, the county town of County Clare in the west of Ireland. Organized by JustRace Events, the race starts and finishes on Lees Road and follows a tarmac route past the still waters of Ballyalla Lake, along the banks of the Fergus River, and over Ballygriffy Bridge. A companion 10K starts 30 minutes after the half marathon on the same course. Both races are chip-timed, fully supported with on-course aid stations, and open to runners and walkers, with entry capped at 1,000 total participants across both distances. Every finisher receives a custom medal, and free professional finish-line photos are included with entry. The 2026 edition ran on 31 May; the 2027 date shown here is a projected estimate based on that annual late-spring/early-summer scheduling pattern and is subject to confirmation by the organizer.
