The Lowdown
The Filderstadt-Halbmarathon is a half marathon through the town of Filderstadt-Bernhausen, just south of Stuttgart. LG Filder has organized it every October since the first edition, and the 33rd edition ran on October 18, 2026. Start and finish are on the Bernhäuser Hauptstraße in the town center, which is closed to traffic for the day. The half marathon course is officially measured, so results count for national best lists, and it climbs about 180 meters in total. The race has been the venue of the Baden-Württemberg half marathon championships. A 10 km run, a five-person team relay over the half marathon course and children's runs start alongside it. Pacers cover 1:30, 1:45 and 2:00, aid stations stand about every 4 km, and every finisher gets a medal and an instant printed certificate. The 2025 edition drew a record field of more than 500 finishers across all runs. The S-Bahn line S2 stops two minutes from the start.
