The GO! Halbmarathon Saarbrücken is an annual half marathon (21.1 km) held every March in Saarbrücken, the capital of Germany's Saarland region, on a course that is officially measured, flat, and fast. Organized by SV GO! Saar 05 Leichtathletik e.V., the race opens the regional Sparkassen-Cup series and has run for 20 consecutive editions, drawing runners from Germany and neighboring France. The route starts at the Europa-Galerie shopping center on Reichsstraße, heads toward the French border near Sarreguemines, and finishes in the Bürgerpark along the Leinpfad, with the finish-line cutoff set at 2 hours 45 minutes. Entry is capped at 750 runners and sells out most years. Age categories run from U18 through M/W 85, with prize money of 500 EUR, 250 EUR, and 150 EUR for the top three men and women. The event also includes a 3K SAARTOTO Special Run organized with Special Olympics Saarland, welcoming runners with intellectual disabilities. Post-race, athletes can shower at the nearby Ludwigsgymnasium, where the awards ceremony is also held.
