Fort Wayne Half and Full Marathon
The Lowdown
Fort Wayne Half and Full Marathon is a locally organized road race through Indiana's second-largest city, run each spring by Ruble Racing (Ruble Triathlon). Both the Marathon (26.2 miles, Boston Marathon Qualifier certified) and the Half Marathon (13.1 miles) start and finish at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum, heading into downtown Fort Wayne via Parnell Avenue and St. Joseph Boulevard, crossing Main Street, then following the city's paved River Greenway trail system through several parks before returning to the Coliseum. The course is flat, fast, and USATF-certified, producing competitive times -- the 2026 marathon was won in 2:40:50. The field is capped at 2,000 total racers across both distances. All participants receive a race t-shirt, and finishers earn a custom medal; age-group and overall awards are handed out race-side on a grab-and-go basis. Aid stations appear roughly every 1.5 miles with water, Gatorade, Coke, and gels at select stops, and the course is staffed with police at key intersections, medics, and course marshals. Now entering its fifth year, the race has grown from a local newcomer into one of the Fort Wayne running community's marquee spring events -- a separate event from the city's fall Fort4Fitness Fall Festival races.
