The Lowdown
Hässelbyloppet is a 10 km road race held each October in Hässelby, in northwest Stockholm. The course is flat and fast and passes through Hässelby, Grimsta, Råcksta and Vällingby, and the finish is at Hässelby IP. Pacers lead groups from 37:30 to 60 minutes, and the course record is 28:53. Lilla Hässelbyloppet, a children's race over 1.25 km (ages 5-8) and 2 km, starts at 11:00 on the same day. Ages 14-18 pay a reduced fee of 195 SEK, and the entry fee rises in steps as race day approaches.
