Kalmar Malkars

Kalmar Malkars is a half marathon in Kalmar, on Sweden's southeast coast, organized by the athletics section of Högby IF. The 21.1 km route is a single loop through several parts of the city, and the organizers describe it as fast, with many runners setting personal records. The race starts on a Saturday afternoon at 15:00 from Malkars Träningscenter on Toråsgatan. A 5 km recreational race, the Malkars Femman, starts ten minutes later and is open to walkers, joggers with strollers and wheelchair users. Every finisher receives a medal, and ICA MAXI provides drinks, fruit and chocolate at the finish. The 2026 edition ran on 27 June; the 2027 date follows the last-Saturday-of-June pattern and is not yet confirmed.
