The Lowdown
The Lucky Half Marathon, part of the Lucky 5K/10K/Half Marathon weekend, is a spring race organized by Five Star NTP at Walker Place Park in Bossier City, Louisiana, across the river from Shreveport. The 5K runs on a flat course the organizer calls "Awesome Flat", and the 10K is a double loop of that 5K course. The half marathon starts together with the shorter distances at 8:00 am Central time on a Saturday in late March. Virtual versions of all three distances are offered, and every distance has a no-shirt registration option. Registration runs through RunSignup, and the 2026 edition did not allow refunds. Event listings place the next edition in March 2027, but the organizer has not published an exact date yet, so check the registration page for the confirmed day.
