The Lowdown
Luleå Stadsmara is a late-May running day in Luleå, in northern Sweden, and the 2026 edition was its 45th. The half marathon is the main race, held alongside a 10 km, a 5 km, a 3 km, a children's race and a 10 km company team challenge. In 2026 the event used a new start and finish area, with routes that follow the water. The organizer, Studentidrotten i Luleå (Stil), went bankrupt in spring 2026, but local businesses stepped in and the race went ahead as planned. The 2027 date is projected from the usual late-May Saturday and the organizer has not yet announced it.
