The Lowdown
Lundaloppet is a Saturday-in-May road race in Lund, organized by IFK Lund Friidrott, with 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km and 15 km distances (15 km is the longest) plus a children's race. Everything starts and finishes at Centrala Idrottsplatsen, 250 m from Lund C station. The 15 km course begins with a 5 km loop through Klostergården toward Källby ängar, crosses pasture and farmland, then joins the 10 km course for the final stretch. The surface mixes asphalt, gravel, soil and cobblestone, and the elevation runs from 8 m to 67 m. Water stations stand at 5, 10 and 15 km, with an energy zone about 1 km from the finish. Timing is by chip, so your time starts when you cross the start line. Every finisher gets a medal, water, a banana and a Powerade.
