Manitoba Marathon
The Lowdown
The Manitoba Marathon is Canada's largest annual road race weekend, held every June in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and drawing nearly 15,000 participants across all events on Father's Day weekend. The Start and Finish Lines sit at Princess Auto Stadium on the University of Manitoba campus in south Winnipeg; 2025 brought the course's first major route change in 30 years, adding scenic roadways through the city while keeping one of the flattest courses in Canada, with a maximum elevation difference of just 30 feet. Runners choose the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km Run/Walk, 5km Super Run, the Johnston Group Relay, or the Mini and Mighty Mites kids' dashes, with wheelchair divisions in both the Full and Half Marathon. The race is an official Boston Marathon qualifier, requires a minimum age of 16 for the full marathon, and partners with United Way Winnipeg to support people with intellectual disabilities. The 2026 edition ran on June 21, 2026, with 1,431 marathon finishers; entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances.
