Marathon Beneva de Montréal
The Lowdown
The Marathon Beneva de Montréal is Canada's largest bilingual marathon, organized by Courons MTL and held annually in early-to-mid October in Québec's largest city. Long-running under a series of title sponsors (formerly Rock 'n' Roll, Oasis, and Scotiabank branding before Beneva insurance became presenting sponsor), the event is a World Athletics/Athletics Canada certified course and a Boston Marathon qualifier. The 2026 edition spans a three-day festival: The Mile on Friday, October 9; the 10K and 5K on Saturday, October 10; and the marathon and half-marathon on Sunday, October 11. The marathon starts at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène, crosses onto the island via the Pont de la Concorde, and winds through Old Montréal, Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Chinatown, Little Italy, and green spaces including Parc La Fontaine and Parc Jarry before finishing at Parc Maisonneuve. As of this writing the full marathon and half-marathon fields are sold out for 2026 with no waitlist, while the 10K, 5K, Mile, and 1K kids' race remain open for registration.
