The Lowdown
Media Maratón de Bogotá (mmB), presented by title sponsor Adidas, is one of Latin America's largest and most prestigious half marathons and the only half marathon in the world to hold a World Athletics Platinum Label. Organized by Correcaminos de Colombia since 2000, the race starts and finishes at Parque Simón Bolívar and draws more than 40,000 runners from over 60 countries across its 21K and companion 10K distances. Run at roughly 2,640 meters of altitude on Bogotá's high plateau, the course is famously demanding for visiting runners unaccustomed to thin air, while the race itself has grown into a citywide cultural event with an Expomedia expo, official hotel and transportation partners, and a wheelchair division. It is Correcaminos' marquee event and one of the pillars of the World Athletics Label circuit in the Americas.
