Run In Marseille

Run In Marseille is no longer held. The last edition took place on Sunday 24 March 2019; the 2020 edition was cancelled during the Covid-19 pandemic and the event has never returned. The race began in 1983 as the Marathon de Marseille, founded by the Massilia Marathon association. A.S.O. (Amaury Sport Organisation) acquired it in 2014 and rebranded the marathon and its companion events as Run In Marseille, still coordinated on the ground by Massilia Marathon and Carma Sport. After the cancelled 2020 edition the official site was retired — runinmarseille.com now redirects to a removed 2020 registration page — and Massilia Marathon lists the Marathon de Marseille under its archives while continuing to organise other Marseille events. First, several race aggregators still advertise future dates for this event; those are generated from month-level placeholder windows rather than from any organiser announcement, and no edition stands behind them. Second, Run In Marseille is NOT Marseille-Cassis, which is a separate and very much active 20 km point-to-point race from the Orange Velodrome to Cassis, held on the last Sunday of October. Runners looking for a Marseille road race should look there.
