Run Killarney
The Lowdown
Run Killarney is an annual half marathon and 10K held in Killarney, County Kerry, in the southwest of Ireland. Both races start and finish near The Gleneagle Hotel, sending runners out along Muckross Road and through the lakes, woodlands, and waterfalls of Killarney National Park. The Half Marathon starts at 8:00am, followed by the 10K at 9:30am, and about 3,000 runners take part each year. A team of eight pacers supports Half Marathon finishers chasing sub-1:40, sub-1:50, sub-2:00, and sub-2:10 times. Entries have sold out in recent years, and there is no race-day or late registration; a 7% booking fee applies on top of the standard entry price.
