The Scania Halve Marathon Zwolle is an evening half marathon held every second Saturday of June through the historic city center of Zwolle, the capital of Overijssel in the eastern Netherlands. First run in 2001, the event has grown into one of the country's most festive road races, billing itself as "#degezelligste" (the coziest) running festival in the Netherlands, and Scania -- which operates a truck production plant in Zwolle -- has been the title sponsor since 2014.
Runners start from the Koggelaan area near the IJsselhallen convention center in the early evening and cover roughly 2.6 km to reach the old town, then complete three laps of about 6.2 to 7 km each through Zwolle's medieval streets, passing landmarks including the Sassenpoort city gate and the Grote Kerk (Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk), before finishing as the sun sets over the IJssel river. The flat, fast course draws Kenyan elite fields alongside recreational runners, and the same evening program includes the Salverda 4 Engelse Mijl (4 English miles, about 6.4 km), a Business Run for company teams, a 1 km adapted-sports category, and the Voor Elkaar Zwolle Heroes Run.
The 2025 edition was cancelled, and the race returned on 13 June 2026 with a field of roughly 10,000 runners. Organizers have confirmed the next Scania Halve Marathon Zwolle for Saturday, 12 June 2027; registration typically opens in late February and closes around 1 May, with the individual half marathon entry priced at 36 euros in 2026.
